Richmond, VA – February 22, 2012 – Compiled Services, the developers of litigation support and e-discovery software ReadySuite, today announced the release of version 4.1 of the software, which includes upgrades to support larger data sets, importing and exporting Ringtail load files and new features to improve printing and blowback of documents.

ReadySuite is a bundled suite of specialized litigation software for handling various document related tasks. The software includes modules for reviewing, validating, merging, and manipulating load files, converting among multiple image formats such as TIFF and PDF, applying or removing endorsements from image sets, generating searchable text and PDF files using OCR, and batch printing image sets to high capacity printers.

ReadySuite now can easily support millions of records with improved import times and reduced memory consumption. As an example, a recent Concordance import containing 400,000 records took over four minutes to import using the previous version of ReadySuite. Using ReadySuite, the same import took just over one minute, with a 55 percent reduction in memory usage.

By supporting the Ringtail format, ReadySuite now gives users the ability to perform all document-related tasks on data stemming from Ringtail files. Although Ringtail relies on an Access database, by using the new version of ReadySuite, users will not be required to have Access installed on their systems. ReadySuite also supports load files from Concordance, Summation, Trial Director, IPRO and those complying with EDRM XML standards.

The new print and blowback features of ReadySuite include saving and loading print profiles, printing color pages to a separate printer, and trimming and adding bates numbers to pages on-the-fly. ReadySuite is the only tool that lets users print directly from load files and image folders without a complicated setup process.

“ReadySuite has been carefully developed to improve the litigation support process,” said Justin Blessing, lead software engineer at Compiled Services. “These improvements will help litigation support professionals and e-discovery vendors become more efficient and provide better quality output for their important projects.”

A one-year subscription of ReadySuite can be purchased for $1,179.95 here. A free 14-day trial of ReadySuite can be downloaded here.

We’re excited to release new features, enhancements, and fixes to ReadySuite – our specialized bundle of utilities for handling various documents and imaging tasks.

Features include a new ‘Check Resources’ wizard, which allows you to re-check the integrity of your documents after the import process. In addition, you can identify the pages in a document that are color or blank using our sophisticated object detection algorithm. Also, we added the ability to detect text in PDF documents, useful for determining files that may need to be OCRed.

Further, we’ve added the ability to export text along with your images using the ‘Export Documents’ wizard. Various options will allow you to roll single-page text to multi-page, word wrap lines at a specified column, force output file encoding to ASCII or UTF-8, and create placeholder text files for documents with no text.

Highlighted on our development blog are some changes we’ve made to the delimited text import process. Next week, we’ll post more updates outlining other important changes made, including the new ‘Batch Manager’, for updating paths of documents already imported.

Our pricing structure has also slightly changed – which primarily affects those using the functionality provided in ReadyConvert. We will now be pricing ReadyConvert with our standard support package at $79.95. If you’d like to upgrade to ReadySuite, you can purchase the entire package at $499.95 with our standard support package or for $579.95 with our priority support package.

To learn about other features provided in ReadySuite, follow our product page.

ReadySuite, a specialized bundle of utilities for handling various document and imaging tasks, has been upgraded to include various new features and maintenance fixes. This release includes a new text and OCR viewer, with support for single and multi-page text files. Similar to the image viewer, the text viewer can be re-arranged allowing you to easily view images, text and metadata all at once.

Other features added to this release are an advanced renumbering system, allowing you to number documents based on an existing coded field. Additionally, we’ve enhanced the endorse process to allow landscape images to be endorsed in portrait mode and included grayscale reduction for smaller image sizes. Finally, load files can be exported with the new “link in place” option, which will retain the absolute path to referenced image, text and native files.

Using ReadySuite, law firms and litigation support providers can handle simple tasks such as converting PDF files to single page tiffs, re-endorsing image sets with new production numbers while maintaining a cross reference file and batch printing with custom folder and cover separator sheets.
